Konner was diagnosed at 18 month with kawasakis disease. We woke up one morning and he was burning up with 104 temp. We rushed him to the er where just to be honest we had horrible service. I will not go into all that detail but we were sent home . Just a couple days later we woke up in the middle of the night and his fever spiked up to over 104 again. We again rush him to the er where we are again told to take him home and just watch him after they said he was just dehydrated and gave him some fluids. The next morning we went straight to his pediatric doctor with him running fever and rashes all over his body by this time. His lips looked as if someone pushed him in the mouth as they were swollen and red and also extremely chapped looking. The pediatric doctor we had to see that day due to his not being there told us to immediately get him to the er and he would be calling them to get him admitted. He instantly said he had kawasaki. We spent 7 days in the hospital with specialist coming from our children's hospital to treat him. We finally went 24 hours without a fever after 7 days and was sent home but told any fever at all in the next 24 hours to get back asap. We get home and just a few hours go by and his fever is back. ... we rushed back to the er and were readmitted. We stayed 3 more days and went 24 hours with no fever so got to go back home under same circumstances. Konner is now 5 will be 6 soon and have had no issues since. We thank the good Lord above for watching over our baby boy. We have had to travel for dental work in the last few years due to all the dentist in our are not wanting to so anything due to kawasakis being on his chart but we will do what we have to to keep our baby healthy and happy. We go in less than a week to have tunes put in and tonsils and adenoids taken out due to double ear infections on and off his whole life and having a double the last 7 weeks. We ask everyone to keep all these babies in your thoughts and prayers.
Treatment: Aspirin a day for 6 months after infusions at the hospital; He's a happy healthy full of energy boy. He loves to play baseball and coloring.
